Well...it's official...i'm back at school. Let's start with the Welcome Wagon. This was a miserable experience. The whole idea behind it is that we move in early and help the freshmen move in and with the freshmen activities. Doesnt sound too bad right? Wrong...first of all...no boys were here to help move people in. This means that it is a group of about 15 girls with no upper body strength. Whatever...we got over that. Then it started to rain. Then the elevator broke. Horrible day overall. And i was sore for like 3 days after.
Next up is the new suitemates. Nicole and I currently live with4 other girls, 6 of us total. The suitemates this year are amazing...Thank god! haha....they're all really nice girls and we all get along really well. We can hang out in the common room and not have to worry about black supremacy meetings or any kind of attitude. Sooooo relieved. So I've been hanging out with them a lot and they're really fun. I'll describe them. The first is our fav. Her name is Chantell. She's half dominican and half white. She's really fun and very energetic. Shes always going out to parties and has the craziest stories. Next is Christine. Shes an indian girl from this area. Very sweet and innocent. She goes home every weekend. Next is Gillian. She's a bisexual from Cali. Her 28 yr old girlfriend followed her here from Cali and they spend a lot of time together. The bisexual thing doesnt bug me at all. She doesnt seem the type to like hit on me or any of the other suitemates. Again, really nice girl. And finally comes Hillary. She's from out of state too. Shes not really in the suite much but when she is she's nice too.
Crazy turn of events....from the bitches to the nicest people ever!
Classes started this week too. All seem fine. I know I'm going to have a lot of trouble with my Calculus B class. Not only is it at 9:35 in the morning, but even though its the second class I know it's gonna be tough. Orgo is orgo....its gonna be hard but i like my professor so far. Finally is the class that I'm soooo excited for! It's called Adapted Aquatics. The whole idea behind the class is helping rehabilitate disabled individuals through water activites. Like we could be working with someone who has MS or autism or any other physical or mental disabilities and help try to make their lives better through positive reinforcement and swimming. I saw a video about it our first class and it looks amazing. By the way that the kids were responding to everything, I knew that they were really helping. It's not just a class where you sit in lecture and learn about the human body, which makes me really excited. We're given partners and we work with the same kid/adult for the whole semester. I know it's going to be emotional, but it's worth it.
Zach and I are doing well. Had a few little fights, but i told him that had to stop. He's coming down at the end of Sept. I'm really excited to see him! I miss him a bunch, but that makes it worthwhile when I do see him. We won't take eachother for granted anymore.
So far that's all that's been going on. Long post I know..haha

OH JULES! So happy that your suite mates are better this time around. Im sure they adore you already. Classes sound decent, Orgo is such a pain, boring as hell unless you have a good teacher. Things with zach will have rough times, be strong and independent, enjoy your time at 'Brook. Love and miss you!
