Wellll....it's been a loooongggg time BUT I figured i'd start blogging again. I'm officially back at school and in school mode. Classes have been going ok so far. It's been a little difficult this semester getting back into it. I'm a little more likely lately to procrastinate as opposed to get my stuff done. HOPEFULLLYY this won't be a problem in a few days, tests are fast approaching! EEK!!!
Other newsss: I made the dance team!! YAY!!! The tryouts were last tues, wed, and thurs. I surprising did pretty well...despite my soreness...i even whipped out a quad turn! WHAT?!?!? It was pretty crazyyy. I found out on Saturday that I made the A team. Everyone makes the team so this is how it breaks down: A team-does sidelines and halftime show at football/bball games, B team-sidelines and tries out every week to do the halftime show, C team- tries out for sidelines...I am the only one to have made the A team from the new girls so i'm super excited! I have my first practice with them tonight and i'm a little bit nervous about it...
Anywho....thats the new business with me :D

New and Exciting things
Well let's see...New and exciting thing list:
1) I have a niece! Her name is Kaelynn Madison...Melissa had a baby. She honestly didn't even know she was pregnant. She went to the hospital on the 10th and they said she probably had a cyst that broke. Monday morning she went to the gyno and a half hour later had the baby. Thank GOD everything is ok and she's been all checked out and is happy and healthy.
2) Mom has been super mean the past couple weeks. Granted she has been dealing with a lot of things, but I feel a little neglected. This past weekend I tried to call her for 3 days straight and she didn't answer. There wasn't an emergency but there easily could've been. I finally got a hold of her and she told me doesn't want me to come home this weekend. Instead, I will be heading to Cortland.
3) I have an Orgo test this thursday. No fun!
4) Thursday night my roommate and a friend and I are headed to a Halloween party. I'm being a ladybug! :D
5) I'm going to a taping of the Tyra Banks show tomorrow (shhh it's a secret) It's going to be soo much fun and we get free t-shirts.
Overall it's been a pretty up and down past couple of weeks.

Catching up
The last thing i blogged about was going to laurels. I had a lot of fun...just hung out and went to a party and whatnot.
Zach came to visit 2 weekends ago and that was a fun time. He stayed from Friday until Monday. On Saturday we went into the city and went to the Met. The art was so amazing and I had never been before. I'm more of a modren art fan than the ancient Roman and Greek stuff. Obviously I was sad when he left. I didn't have classes on Tuesday or Wednesday for the Jewish holiday. Nothing too exciting has happened in the past week. To be completely honest, I'm a boring person ahahah. This weekend I'm going into the city with laurel and seeing Legally Blonde the musical. That should be really fun and a nice change. Next weekend my mom and zach are coming down to visit for the weekend so that is something thats coming up.
I got my person for my Aquatics class. He's 26 and blind and deaf, with the exception of his right ear in which he is only partially deaf. It's going to be a struggle but he's been in the program for about 10 years so he already has an idea on how to do everything. he had said something that was so heartbreaking the other day, he asked when the christmas banquet was and we said we didnt know yet around the end of december. He told to tell him when we know because he likes to have something to look forward to. To me it was so sad to think that he has to look forward to something that for in advance. i've just never had that mindset before and it was so sad to hear. just the tone in which he said it.
Well classes are hard as always. Calculus is so rough and i had to get a tutor for it. Orgo is alright so far, but i'm determined to do better.
Overall fitness i'm trying to do better in. i havent been to the gym in a while and I have made a deal with myself that i'll be going more often and try to make it stick.

Bored
Well the past couple weeks have been pretty uneventful. School is getting to be more difficult as usual. Calculus is the hardest class ever. I cant wait untilt his semester is over with becasue I really am done with math. It's not my thing at all. I've been to the help center, and that wasn't helpful at all. This is def going to be a challenge for me this semester. Also, I've been actively deciding between pediatrics and physical therapy. Both are things that i'm interested in, especially with this aquatics class that I'm taking. It has really made me think about things im passionate about. Anyways, speaking of the aquatics class, I had it again last night. We did a dril where we had to have disablilities just like our person we're going to be helping. We did an acitivty where we had a blind fold on and had to be lead by someone around the pool. They had obsticles and whatnot, but at the very end we had to be lead onto the diving board and jump off with the blind fold on. Scariest thing of my life! After that we had our arms tied and them our legs tied so that we knew what it was like to be an amputee. the worst was when they tied my legs together...that was no fun. We get to know our cases next week. I'll keep you posted on what i end up getting. I have an Organic Chem test next week. I think i'm pretty prepared but beginning monday, my life will consist of the library and my textbook. WOO...
This weekend i'm headed to Laurels college in New Jersey. Now that we're not in the same area, I feel less hostility towards her. I feel bad that over the summer I feel so stiffled but at school i'm more than fine. It'll be a fun time though. Last time a went i became best friends with the tequila bottle.....and then the toilet. hahahaha.

Back to the Grind
Well...it's official...i'm back at school. Let's start with the Welcome Wagon. This was a miserable experience. The whole idea behind it is that we move in early and help the freshmen move in and with the freshmen activities. Doesnt sound too bad right? Wrong...first of all...no boys were here to help move people in. This means that it is a group of about 15 girls with no upper body strength. Whatever...we got over that. Then it started to rain. Then the elevator broke. Horrible day overall. And i was sore for like 3 days after.
Next up is the new suitemates. Nicole and I currently live with4 other girls, 6 of us total. The suitemates this year are amazing...Thank god! haha....they're all really nice girls and we all get along really well. We can hang out in the common room and not have to worry about black supremacy meetings or any kind of attitude. Sooooo relieved. So I've been hanging out with them a lot and they're really fun. I'll describe them. The first is our fav. Her name is Chantell. She's half dominican and half white. She's really fun and very energetic. Shes always going out to parties and has the craziest stories. Next is Christine. Shes an indian girl from this area. Very sweet and innocent. She goes home every weekend. Next is Gillian. She's a bisexual from Cali. Her 28 yr old girlfriend followed her here from Cali and they spend a lot of time together. The bisexual thing doesnt bug me at all. She doesnt seem the type to like hit on me or any of the other suitemates. Again, really nice girl. And finally comes Hillary. She's from out of state too. Shes not really in the suite much but when she is she's nice too.
Crazy turn of events....from the bitches to the nicest people ever!
Classes started this week too. All seem fine. I know I'm going to have a lot of trouble with my Calculus B class. Not only is it at 9:35 in the morning, but even though its the second class I know it's gonna be tough. Orgo is orgo....its gonna be hard but i like my professor so far. Finally is the class that I'm soooo excited for! It's called Adapted Aquatics. The whole idea behind the class is helping rehabilitate disabled individuals through water activites. Like we could be working with someone who has MS or autism or any other physical or mental disabilities and help try to make their lives better through positive reinforcement and swimming. I saw a video about it our first class and it looks amazing. By the way that the kids were responding to everything, I knew that they were really helping. It's not just a class where you sit in lecture and learn about the human body, which makes me really excited. We're given partners and we work with the same kid/adult for the whole semester. I know it's going to be emotional, but it's worth it.
Zach and I are doing well. Had a few little fights, but i told him that had to stop. He's coming down at the end of Sept. I'm really excited to see him! I miss him a bunch, but that makes it worthwhile when I do see him. We won't take eachother for granted anymore.
So far that's all that's been going on. Long post I know..haha

Long time
It's been a really long time since my last post. Life has been pretty busy the past two weeks. First, I went to Puerto Rico. It was absolutely amazing! The beachs were beautiful, the water was like teal. We also went to the rain forest which was great too. Overall it was a really fun trip.
Over this past weekend I went out of town with Zach. We went to his friends graduation party in downstate on friday and spent the night. We then went to Albany on saturday for a concert. It was my first concert ever and it was ridiculous. There were 30,000 people there and it was craziness. I had a really fun time. We were at the concert from 4:30 until 11 so by the time we left it was already like 11:30. We stayed with a friend of his from college and we passed out hard! Overall these past two weeks have been jam packed but really fun too :D. Now that i'm back home it's time for me to get back into shape and to find myself a job. ICK! hahaha...
Nick's graduating this weekend. I can't believe he's all done with high school and headed to college in the fall. I'm going to be 20 this year. I feel wayyy old...I've already gotten through one year of school. Obviously there are many ahead, but it went by so fast.
Hopefully this summer is filled with fun and greatt memories.

Anticipation
I'm anticipating the week to come. It's going to be hectic that's for sure. I have two finals on Wednesday, that are going to be wicked hard and I have to study like crazy for. I have one tomorrow, but it's women's studies and easy as pie. After finals are all done with on Wednesday I can relax for a little bit. Zach's coming down on Thursday because all of his finals are going to be done with on Wednesday. Verrry excited about this because even though I saw him two weeks ago, it's better when he's around. We plan on going into the city on Saturday and seeing the sites. He's never been to new york before besides that one time we went to the indian restaurant and bodies exhibit. I can't wait to see his face, he's basically gonna be like a little kid. hahaha....but yea, so that'll be fun. Then after that, I have to start studying for my bio final on the next tuesday. Then, after my final and my mom and zach and I pack the car wel will finally be on our way home! I'm so excited to be done. Studying is my least favorite thing of alllll time.
8 days to go....
